NSLC Veterinary Medicine Team Advisor (2/2/24)

My name is Olivia Mullen, I am the Assistant Program Director for the National Student Leadership Conference's Veterinary Medicine program held at Virginia Tech this summer. The NSLC offers pre-college summer programs for high school students facilitated by current/recent college students. The NSLC’s main focus is on developing leadership capacity within ambitious young adults while introducing various career possibilities within their fields of interest.

I am looking to hire several undergraduate students and recent graduates to serve as Team Advisors (TA) and Assistant Team Advisors (ATA) for my program this summer as well as NSLC’s other various medical programs. We seek applicants who study or have a significant background in animal science disciplines including handling, agriculture, anatomy, physiology, clinical skills, small animal, large animal, etc, and enjoy working with high school students! The Veterinary Medicine program at Virginia Tech runs from June 10th - July 18th.

Both the TA and ATA positions are paid and include covered travel, room and board, and meals. If you know of any students who may find this opportunity interesting, please feel free to pass along the attached job posting and/or forward this email! All roles and responsibilities of a Team Advisor/Assistant Team Advisor are listed within the job posting, but please reach out if I can provide any further information about the job position! HERE is the link to our job postings!

The NSLC also offers a multitude of other programs outside of the field of veterinary medicine at different universities across the country! If you have students you feel would be interested in applying as staff, more information can be found at nslcleaders.org or feel free to give them my contact information and I can pass along more details about those programs.
