Livestock Judging Team Competes at Cattlemen's Classic and San Antonio Stock Show Monday, February 26, 2024

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Livestock Judging Team has started off the season with success at the Cattlemen's Classic and the San Antonio Stock Show.

At the Cattlemen's Classic, Ashlyn Robinson finished as sixth high individual overall and fifth high individual in reasons. Jaylea Pope was ninth high individual in reasons and Noah Summerswas sixth high individual in placings.

Nebraska's Hunt Seat Equestrian Team
Equestrian Hunt Seat Team Has Two Qualify in Colorado Springs for Regionals Monday, February 26, 2024

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Equestrian Hunt Seat team closed out its regular season at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs on February 17-18.

Ava Nelson and Delrone Mukusha both qualified for regionals at the events. The team will return to Colorado Springs, Colo., on March 10-11 to compete in regional competition.

Alison Neujahr has been named the recipient of the 2024 American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) Midwest Section Young Scholar Award. The award, sponsored by United Animal Health, will be presented during the 2024 ASAS Midwest Section Meeting in Madison, Wis., on March 10-13.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Equestrian Western team collected a lot of hardware at Laramie County Community College to kick off its spring schedule on February 3-4.

The team earned high point honors on both days, while Christen Curtis earned high point rider honors on Saturday with a perfect score, and Anna Lampereur was named Reserve High Point Rider on both Saturday and Sunday.

70 students in Animal Science were named to the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) Dean's List for Fall of 2023. These students had a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher based on a minimum of 12 graded semester hours.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has announced 70 students in Animal Science were named to the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) Dean's List for Fall of 2023. These students had a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher based on a minimum of 12 graded semester hours.

Over 6,800 students were named to the Deans' List for the fall semester at Nebraska, including 636 CASNR students.

Congratulations to these students for their hard work during the fall semester of 2023!
