The "Tools for Reproductive Management" Symposium will be held on May 21 at the Animal Science Complex on Nebraska's East Campus.
The "Tools for Reproductive Management" Symposium will be held on May 21 at the Animal Science Complex on Nebraska's East Campus.

The Department of Animal Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the NCERA-57 Multistate Regional Research Project (Swine Reproductive Physiology) will be conducting a free symposium entitled "Tools for Reproductive Management" on May 21.

The event will be held in room B101 in the Animal Science Complex from 12-5 p.m. Presentations include:

  • 1:00 p.m. - Review of Offspring Survival by Dr. Jeff Weigert, Texas A&M
  • 1:45 p.m. - New Knowledge on Seasonality, Heat Stress and Semen Production in the Boar by Dr. John Parrish, University of Wisconsin-Madison
  • 2:30 p.m. - Thomas Livestock, 24/7 Pig Care - Thomas Livestock
  • 3:30 p.m. - Video Monitoring Pig Care - Dr. Benny Mote, University of Nebraska-Lincoln
  • 4:15 p.m. - HotHog Application - Dr. Jay Johnson, USDA ARS

Registration is free and available for indviduals or groups. Lunch will be provided.
