Six teams of students recently competed in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Animal Science Academic Quadrathlon on Nov. 1-2.

The competition provides each team of up to four students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of animal agriculture by participating in four rounds of competition: a written exam, lab practicum, an oral presentation, and a quiz bowl competition. Teams earn points by placement in each round to determine an overall winner.

Members of the winning team earn the opportunity to represent the Nebraska Department of Animal Science at the Midwest Region American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) Academic Quadrathlon held in conjunction with the 2023 American Society Midwest Scientific meetings on March 11-13, 2023 in Madison, Wis.
