About Me

First and foremost,  I am a mom of 4 (2 girls, 2 boys) and grandma to 4 boys (+1 on the way). I just celebrated my 10th anniversary to my husband, Pat. I have an Associate's Degree in Music, play piano, and spent many years in my church working with the children in music and teaching. Before coming to Nebraska, I lived in Sarasota, Florida, where I had grown up, but spent many years previously with my ex-husband in the Air Force, living in Idaho, South Dakota, Germany and Las Vegas. I have also held many jobs as a dental assistant, kindergarten aide and sub, bookkeeping, school lunch lady, customer service with Air Conditioning, sales associate for a department store, and more recently, executive assistant for NIADA. I love Nebraska and am really enjoying all that it has to offer. We love Lincoln and feel it's a great place to be! GBR!

What is yout position in the department?

Office Associate for Ruminant/Non-Ruminant Nutrition

How long have you worked in the department?

I will have worked in the department 4 years in June.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love to go camping and enjoy the outdoors. I love to spend time with the one grandson (almost 2) that I have here and I do a lot of church work for the children and youth for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. With a 17 year old son still at home about ready to start his senior year, I am sure that will be a priority in the coming year.

What is something most people don't know about you?

I am sure there are a couple things...I lived in Germany for 4 years as a military wife. We lived on a German Air base and truly lived on the economy as the nearest American support was an hour away. We were able to travel to France, Belgium and England. I don't think there are many who know that I sang operas in my music program. I was one of the leads for a musical called "Amahl and the Night Visitors".
