About Me

I began my career with the University at the Cow/Calf Unit at Mead as an Ag Research Technician in 1980.  Some of my job responsibilities included overseeing the health and well being of the Physiology and teaching herds. In addition, I performed artificial insemination and palpation for determining pregnancy.  In 2014 I was moved to to a position at the Animal Science building  to oversee the Physiology herd and assist and coordinate the research trials with graduate students at both Lincoln and in Mead.  Other duties include assisting with the teaching herd, coordinating Artificial Insemination schools for both undergraduate and graduate students and data collection and analysis.

Ag Research Technician III.

How long have you worked in the department?

I have worked in the department for 40 years.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I enjoy golfing and spending time with my family, especially my grandkids.

What is something most people don't know about you?

My wife and I enjoy touring vineyards and wineries both in Nebraska and out of state. In 2011 on hole six of the Hilltop Country Club I got my first and only (so far) hole-in-one.
