About Me

I started at UNL as an undergraduate student in 2016 after graduating from Southeast Community College. During my first semester here, I started working for Dr. Andrea Cupp and Jeff Bergman helping bleed heifers and helping with surgeries. That first summer, I went to work at the Cow/calf unit as a student. In the fall, once school started back up, I started another student position in the Animal Science building with Clyde Naber and Brent Johnson. This position eventually led to my first full time position as a Research Technician III after graduation in 2018. I worked in the Animal Science building about a year before the Unit Manager position opened up at the Cow/Calf Unit at ENREC.

What is your position in the department?

Cow/Calf Unit Manager.

How long have you worked in the department?

I have worked in the department for 3 years.

What do you enjoying outside of work?

I like to be outdoors, spending time with our three dogs (two dachshunds and an Aussie). During the summer, my Fiancé (Sarah) and I enjoy going on trips to hike and camp. My Dad started a Texas Longhorn herd (Hangin-j Longhorns) a couple years ago and I enjoy getting more involved with that.

What is something most people don't know about you?

I'm an Eagle scout.
