About Me
I grew up in Lincoln, NE and did my undergraduate degree in animal science at UNL. While I attended UNL I got to work in the labs of Dr. Weber and Dr. Andrea Cupp. I developed a passion for science and went on to get my MS in reproductive biology at the University of Wyoming with Dr. Brenda Alexander. I couldn't stay away from Lincoln long and came back after graduation to work at Neogen GeneSeek for 8 years in various roles. I decided I wanted to get back into research 3 years ago and an opportunity was available to work in an animal genetics lab with Dr. Jessica Petersen. I've been working here since then and have really enjoyed getting to work with students and really everyone else in the department. It's been a true pleasure being back in the animal science building.
