We are excited to announce an open position in the Department of Animal Science for a Communications Specialist. If you are interested in being part of a dynamic department, please consider joining our team.

The primary focus of this position is developing and editing communication materials and media that compliment program delivery for the Department of Animal Science as part of the Institute for Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR).  Works with IANR Communications to ensure best practices are followed in design projects, video production and written communications, and collaborates with IANR media web, design and video specialists as needed. Works with IANR communications to identify and amplify compelling stories of broad interest. 

This position manages and executes digital marketing efforts including websites, website analytics, digital signage, newsletter and web content and social media presence. The incumbent collaborates with content experts in the Department of Animal Science in the design and content development of web, video, and print media used for student recruitment and promoting departmental programs across all mission areas. This position creates promotional materials such as brochures and news releases; arranges and sets up technology to record or deliver programs; and helps organize materials for programs. The incumbent will assist with event planning and/or display design at campus, regional and national events.
