About Me

I was raised on a diversified farm near Moundridge, KS. I am a fifth generation German-immigrant from Russia. My family moved to Kansas in 1874 and has been caring for land, livestock, and natural resources in that area since that time. My Dad farmed and managed one of the early purebred Simmental cow/calf herds established in Kansas. My Mom taught English and German and coached forensics at the high school level. I am the youngest of four, two sisters (Gail Graber and Jennifer Schrag) and one brother (Wes). I married Shelly, my high school sweetheart, in 1986. We have three daughters and two son-in-laws: Madison and Devin Dixon, Megan and Andrew Johnson, and Emma Krehbiel.
