Equestrian Team Earns Three High Point Honors, One Reserve High Point Honor in Fall Western Shows Tuesday, November 7, 2023
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Western Equestrian team had a very successful start to its 2023-24 season this fall.
Nebraska was named high point team on October 14 and reserve high point team on October 15 at the Colby Community College Fall Classic. Team members Christen Curtis, Izzi Velinsky, and Tabby Cassidy all pointed out of their divisions and qualified for regionals following the weekend of competition.
The team returned home on November 4 to host two home western shows and earned two team high point honors. Samantha Pinney was named high point rider of the afternoon show.

The equestrian hunt team will travel to University of Colorado-Colorado Springs for its opening competitions of the year on November 11-12.
