Dr. Jennifer Wood Named Associate Dean for Graduate Education Thursday, August 10, 2023

Dr. Jennifer Wood, professor and molecular reproductive physiologist, was recently named Associate Dean for Graduate Education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

In her new administrative appointment, she will lead the professional development team and contribute to the overall leadership in the Office of Graduate Studies, while still teaching and conducting research in the Department of Animal Science.

Dr. Wood joined the faculty at Nebraska in 2006 and has served as the chair of the Department of Animal Science graduate committee for three years. She served as a member of the committee for 10 years prior to becoming chair. She has also served as chair of the Teaching Learning Improvement Council for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) and is on the presidential chain for the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SSR).

Her research is aimed at improving egg quality in humans and cows and teaches systems physiology courses for graduate and professional students.
