Dennis Burson Retirement Reception Tuesday, March 29, 2022
Please join us from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, April 29 in the East Campus Union to help celebrate the amazing career of Dr. Dennis Burson.
Dr. Burson was Extension Meat Specialist in the Department of Animal Science from 1984 through 2020. Dennis was instrumental in increasing meat processors’ knowledge and implementation of management and new technologies to reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses and increase quality and consistency of product. Dr. Burson taught HACCP and Food Safety Systems for the Food Industry and also taught Food Quality Assurance. He had a tremendous impact on our students and improving small meat processors products and businesses. Dennis, Maureen, and son Andrew will remain in Lincoln. Dennis, his family, and the department would be honored by your presence at their retirement celebration.
