2019 Alumni & Friends Weekend Friday, March 22, 2019
On Friday April 12th at Nebraska Innovation Campus, we will host our annual Alumni & Friends Reunion. We will celebrate the rich history of our judging programs by recognizing all alumni from teams that competed in years ending with “9” (2009, 1999, 1989, 1979, etc.). In addition, you’ll be able to meet the members of our 2018 and 2019 judging teams and celebrate their many accomplishments. We will also recognize a Young Alumni of Distinction, Undergraduate of Distinction, Graduate of Distinction, and a Distinguished Service Award aimed to recognize those alumni and friends that have achieved and supported our Department in an amazing way.
On Saturday morning (April 13th) we will host the annual Old Timers Judging Contest open to anyone interested. The event will involve both meats and livestock judging and will be a great way to test your skills. Lunch and the annual Bulls Worth Waiting For Sale will follow starting at 1:00 pm. This year we will be offering approximately 45 Husker Red, Husker Black, and Angus bulls. Saturday’s events will culminate back at Nebraska Innovation Campus with the Block and Bridle Honors Banquet where we will recognize our undergraduate students as well as the Block and Bridle Honoree, Chuck Schroeder.
