Horse Judging Team Closes out 2023 Schedule With Multiple Top 10 Finishes Tuesday, November 7, 2023

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Horse Judging Team recently closed out 2023 with multiple top 10 finishes at contests throughout the country. 

Nebraska opened the fall at the 2023 American Paint Horse Association (APHA) HorseIQ contest in Fort Worth, Texas, finishing in seventh place overall and in reasons, eighth place in halter, and ninth place in performance. Caliegh Iwanski finished in eighth place in performance, while Greg Treffer finished in 10th place in halter.

Equestrian Team Earns Three High Point Honors, One Reserve High Point Honor in Fall Western Shows Tuesday, November 7, 2023

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Western Equestrian team had a very successful start to its 2023-24 season this fall.

Nebraska was named high point team on October 14 and reserve high point team on October 15 at the Colby Community College Fall Classic. Team members Christen Curtis, Izzi Velinsky, and Tabby Cassidy all pointed out of their divisions and qualified for regionals following the weekend of competition.

All October long, customers that spend $10 or more on the shoppe's available selection of pork chops, ground pork, brats, pork breakfast sausage, sliced bacon, and sliced pork in bbq sauce will receive a pound of ground pork for free! Offer is limited to one per customer per week.

Department of Animal Science Announces Recipients of 2023-24 Scholarships Sunday, October 1, 2023

The Department of Animal Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln had 84 students earn scholarship awards on Sunday, October 1 at its Annual Scholarship Reception held at the Nebraska East Union.

The 108 scholarships awarded are made possible by contributions from individuals and organizations to support students in the Animal Science program. Over $140,000 in scholarships was awarded to students at the event.
