
Sydney May Recipient of Larry E. Sitzman Scholarship Thursday, January 6, 2022
Sydney May of Aurora was named the 2022 recipient of the Larry E. Sitzman Youth in Nebraska Agriculture Scholarship. The daughter of Sara May and David and Janet May. Sydney is a sophomore at the University of Nebraska -Lincoln, studying Animal Science and following the pre-vet track. She will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

About Me
I was born in Englewood, Colorado but have lived in Seward, Nebraska all my life. Jeff (my husband) and I live in the country by Bee and have four kids: Bryan-28, Garrett-26, Cheyenne-25 and Autumn-23 plus two grandchildren: Ella and Ethan (4 and 6 years old). We also have a part great dane/part lab dog named Rosko and a long hair tuxedo cat named Wilson. Our family has a crazy sense of humor and our time spent together is full of ridiculous jokes and lots of laughter.

Since June 2019.
What do you enjoying outside of work?
I really enjoy a good round of golf. I try to play as much as I can in my off time.

About Me
I am originally from Lincoln but I lived in Kearney for 25 years. My husband, Wayne, and I moved back to this area in October 2020. I worked at University of Nebraska-Kearney for 18 years in the Student Accounts/Finance Office and it's great to be back working for the University. We have a 26 year old son, Nate, who lives/works in Omaha and our 23 year old daughter, Alison, just started her Speech Communications Masters program at UNK.

About Me
I grew up on a farm near Daykin, Nebraska where I was active in 4-H showing livestock. I moved to Lincoln and married Pete DeWald. We have been married for 33 years and have two boys, Jarrod and Cody. We live on a small acreage between Malcolm and Raymond, Nebraska. We love to travel and spend time with our friends and family.
