In addition to our facilities on campus, we're able to conduct research projects at Research, Extension, and Education Center (REEC) facilities in different regions of the state, at standalone facilities such as the Gudmundsen Sandhills Laboratory and Barta Brothers Ranch, and collaborate with federal agencies on projects at the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC).
Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension, and Education Center (ENREEC)
The Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center (ENREEC) is as an integral hub of research and innovation. ENREEC is positioned at the forefront of cutting-edge agricultural research, education, and extension activities that address the challenges of modern farming.

West Central Research, Extension, & Education Center (WCREEC)
Located in North Platte, Neb., the West Central Research, Extension and Education Center (WCREEC) provides research-based information and other educational resources to the counties in the West Central District and beyond. As part of the University of Nebraska- Lincoln and the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the center is a front door to the University for those that it serves in west central Nebraska.

Panhandle Research, Extension, & Education Center (PREEC)
Located in Scottsbluff, Neb., the Panhandle Research, Extension and Education Center (PREEC) innovates and conducts research to make life better for Nebraska ag producers, rural communities, businesses, children, and families. Our program specialists, extension educators and research scientists work with local stakeholders to identify and prioritize challenges facing western Nebraska.

Gudmundsen Sandhills Laboratory
The Gudmundsen Sandhills Laboratory (GSL) is located in the heart of the Nebraska Sandhills in Grant, Hooker and Cherry counties. Joint projects with animal, range, soil, veterinary, economics, entomology, geology, hydrology, forestry and wildlife have increased our understanding of the Sandhill's ecosystem, resulting in advances in range livestock nutrition, beef cattle reproduction, grazing systems, rangeland ecology, cost-effective cattle management, groundwater issues and wildlife management.

Barta Brothers Ranch
The Barta Brothers Ranch is located in the northeastern Sandhills in Brown and Rock counties. The ranch is to be used by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for research and demonstration programs in the integration of range management (including grazing and livestock production), prairie forestry, wildlife management, and conservation.

U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC)
Located outside of Clay Center, Neb., and working in cooperation with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) is recognized around the world for the comprehensive research and industry solutions produced over the last six decades in helping solve high priority problems for the beef, sheep, and swine industries.
