Dr. Rick Funston joined the Department of Animal Science as a Professor and Extension Beef Reproductive Specialist in 2002. He is based at the West Central Research, Extension & Education Center in North Platte, Neb.

Research
My research focus is on beef systems, heifer development, fetal programming, synchronization systems.
Extension
My extension program focus is on increasing production efficiency, helping producers increase profit on a fixed set of resources through strategic management decisions.
