Livestock Judging Team Starts Fall Season, Finishes as Second High Team Overall at Flint Hills Mid-America National Classic

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln livestock judging team has began its fall season with strong showings all across the country.

The team finished as second high team overall at the Flint Hills Mid-America National Classic. The overall result was supported by second high team finishes in cattle and swine, along with third high team in reasons and sheep/goats.

Maleah Crisp was the top individual finisher at 6th overall, while Caden Schwab and Kirsten Heselmeyer were 10th and 14th overall, respectively.

Crisp also finished 16th overall at both the Tulsa State Fair and Aksarben competitions.

The team will travel to Kansas City, Kan., to compete at the American Royal on October 20.
