The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Horse Judging Team recently closed out 2023 with multiple top 10 finishes at contests throughout the country.
Nebraska opened the fall at the 2023 American Paint Horse Association (APHA) HorseIQ contest in Fort Worth, Texas, finishing in seventh place overall and in reasons, eighth place in halter, and ninth place in performance. Caliegh Iwanski finished in eighth place in performance, while Greg Treffer finished in 10th place in halter.
At the 2023 All-American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio, the team finished in sixth place overall, halter, performance, and reasons. Individual top 10 finishes were Chloe Crowell finishing in fourth place in reasons, fifth place overall and in performance, and sixth place in halter. Treffer also finished in third place in reasons.
The team closed out the year at the 2023 AQHA World Show contest in Oklahoma City, Okla., where Iwanski finished in ninth place overall in ther senior division and Treffer finished in ninth place in reasons in the limited division.
