The University of Nebraska-Lincoln equestrian western team was named reserve high point team at Colorado State University, and followed with three individuals advancing out of regional competition to the semi finals on February 21-22.
Danielle Davis, Faith Miller, and Ady Kroese were Nebraska's top finishers at Colorado State, finishing in first place in rookie B horsemanship, level 1 horsemanship, and beginner horsemanship, respectively. Second place finishers were Izzi Velinsky in open horsemanship, Lilly Jonas in level 1 horsemanship, Liz Boshart in rookie B horsemanship, Addison Gropp in level 2 horsemanship, and Emily Van Meter in beginner horsemanship.
In regional competition on day two, Velinsky and Craig both qualified for semi final competition with top finishes in open horsemanship and beginner horsemanship, respectively. Miller also advanced with a second place finish in rookie B horsemanship. Western Semi finals will be held on March 21-22.
The hunt seat team will close out its regular season on March 14 with competition in Fountain, Colo., followed by regional competition on March 15.
