Dr. Dan Ciobanu and Dr. Matt Spangler both received honors at the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources Distingusihed Faculty Banquet held on September 26th.
Dr. Ciobanu was the recipient of the Omtvedt Innovation Award for Research. The Omtvedt Innovation Award recognizes innovation and excellence in teaching, research and extension and is named in honor of Dr. Irv Omtvedt, former department head in animal science and IANR vice chancellor.
Dr. Spangler was the recipient of the Ronnie D. Green Professorship in Animal Science. The professorship was established through the University of Nebraska Foundation thanks to the generosity of Carol J. Swarts, M.D.
