Elite 11 Scholarship Program

The Nebraska Elite 11 Veterinarian Program is a scholarship program for Nebraska students aimed at increasing the number of new veterinarians practicing in production animal practices in rural Nebraska.

ASCI 340: Animal Physiological Systems

A comprehensive look at the major physiological systems that comprise the mammalian body.

VBMS 407: Introduction to Vet Anatomy

Gross anatomy of the mammalian body, using domestic dog as the model. Macroscopic anatomy of organs and organ systems emphasizing structural and functional relationships, and their contribution to homeostasis of domestic animals.

BIOS 312: Microbiology/Lab

Microbial cell structure, genetics, metabolic and biosynthetic activity, diversity, ecology and evolution including host-microbe interactions.

BIOS 314: Microbiology/Lab

Traditional microbiology techniques without recombinant DNA methods.

VBMS 425: Wildlife Health

Introduction to ecological, social, and institutional issues. Engage in discussions of important zoonotic diseases, diseases of conservation concern, non-infectious threats, and strategies for assessing and managing wildlife health.

ASCI 441: New Techniques in Reproductive Biology

Mammalian early embryonic development. Basic aspects of embryology and development biology. Modern technologies in animal reproductive biology, in vitro maturation and fertilization, embryo transfer, cloning, assisted reproductive technologies, and more.
