Dr. Lisa Karr
Undergraduate Teaching Coordinator
Dr. Lisa Karr, is an Associate Professor of Animal Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She serves as a faculty advisor and is the undergraduate program coordinator for the Department of Animal Science. Dr. Karr teaches four undergraduate courses, which include Companion Animal Behavior, Introduction to Companion Animals, Companion Animal Nutrition, and Human-Companion Animal Interactions.Contact Dr. Karr
Academic Success Coordinator- Graduate Assistant
I am a second year graduate student pursuing a masters in Educational Administration. I am from the Chicago suburbs, I have two cats, and I love running the various races in Lincoln. As the Academic Success Coordinator, I am responsible for the continued and future success of Animal Science students through academic skills coaching, degree and career advising, tutoring and peer mentoring initiatives, and collaborative efforts with the department and campus resources. I serve as a resource for students, professors, and administrators to create a collaborative environment for student success.Contact Katie
My name is Cassie Kiihne and I am a senior from Omaha, NE. I am majoring in Animal Science (Companion Animal Option) and minoring in psychology. On campus I am involved in the Cornhusker Marching Band, Big Red Express Pep Band, and Relay for Life. Hello! My name is Liz Ruskamp. I am a senior Animal Science major with an option in Production Management and a minor in Ag Econ. I am originally from a small farm just outside of North Bend, NE. I have one brother and one super cute one-eyed yellow lab named Jace. One fun fact about me is that since coming to college, I have turned into a runner. I have already completed 10 races, four of which have been half marathons. On campus, I am involved in Block and Bridle, FFA Alumni, Phi Alpha Chi Sorority, and the Newman Center Catholic group. OASIS Study Studio
The Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services (OASIS) Study Studio is located in the computer lab of the second floor of the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center on main campus. You can study by yourself, work in groups, or meet with a Learning Consultant for additional assistance with homework — for free! For more information, contact Kevin Reese.
