Gain experience through internships and non-internship employment! Interested in ASCI 395A: Industry Experiences? Take a look at the guide below to help you through the process.

What do I need to do?When should I do it?

Consider the type of industry experience you would like to have:

  • Species or discipline you would like to work with
  • Skills you would like to improve or build
  • Ensure experience offers learning experiences pertinent to the animal science field
Start thinking about this as soon as you arrive on campus!

Obtain your industry experience:

  • Attend campus career fairs and other departmental events
  • Utilize CASNR Career Services for resume, cover letter, and interview assistance

Most internships are filled by early spring semester!

You should start looking for internships that interest you in the fall semester each year.
