"Bulls Worth Waiting For"

Saturday - April 11, 2020 - 1:00 pm-(online or phone bids only)

Due to health concerns and restrictions on gathering sizes, our sale this year will be online or by phone bids only. Online bids can be placed using DVAuction and phone bids can be placed with any of the contacts listed as sale day phones in the catalog.

Information regarding how to bid online is contained in the links below. The sale will be broadcast as normal via DVAuction, so you can watch videos of the bulls and hear the auctioneer as they sell from your home. The bulls will not be on campus before the sale but you are welcome to view them before the sale at our bull development unit. Please call our unit manager, Austin Holliday (402-300-0338), if you would like to view the bulls. We will also post links to videos of the bulls. Although we will have several sale day phones, I encourage you to contact me prior to the sale to make bidding arrangements if you plan to bid by phone. We appreciate your continued support of our sale and our program. --Matt Spangler.

The University of Nebraska Bull Sale website is sponsored by the Beef Cattle Merchandising class taught each spring in the Animal Science Department. Students in this class get hands-on experience in advertising, catalog preparation, data collection and the management of a seedstock bull sale. The 220 cow NU Beef Teaching herd located on the Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center (ENREC), near Mead, Nebraska, supplies the bulls and data for the class. Leading beef cattle breeders and other experts are invited to speak to our students throughout the spring semester.
