Support Block & Bridle Club

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Block and Bridle Club is one of the four inaugural clubs to become a chapter in a new national organization in 1919. The club’s objective is to provide education, leadership, and service to members and the agricultural community.

To achieve this objective, the club assists with and hosts livestock judging events, industry tours, educational presentations with the Lincoln Public Schools and Husker Food Connection. Speakers from the agricultural community are asked to come to the club meetings to discuss problems, (etc.) effecting the community in today’s environment. The club also puts on a banquet at the end of the year honoring the members and all that they have accomplished throughout the year. They also select a member of the industry that has contributed to Nebraska agriculture through leadership, service, youth projects, community activities and involvement with the university and honor that person at the banquet. Finally, the club also provides awards to members showing outstanding leadership and involvement within the club.
