Animal Welfare Judging Team

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Animal Welfare Judging Team is open to undergraduate, graduate, and veterinary students. The team was founded in 2021 by Dr. Ruth Woiwode. Each year, the Animal Welfare Judging Team prepares for the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Animal Welfare Assessment Contest, which involves learning to assess animal welfare and applying principles to a variety of species in various settings.
