A large number of undergraduate students work part-time for the Department of Animal Science while attending college. Jobs are available for students through the Federal Work-Study Program or through the Department of Animal Science directly. Currently, students work in several areas of the department, including the animal handling units, ruminant nutrition lab, meats lab, small animal research lab, physiology and genetics labs, clerical office, and several of the units at the Agricultural Research and Development Center (ARDC) located at Mead, NE.
