Brent Plugge has been an Extension Educator at University of Nebraska-Lincoln since 1994 and is currently a Livestock Systems educator focused on Beef in Buffalo County. Plugge earned his B.S., in Agriculture from Nebraska in 1987, before earning his M.S., in Animal Science from Nebraska in 1989.

Prior to joining the Buffalo County office in 2004, he served as Assistant District Director at the West Central Research and Extension Center from 2004-2012. He also served as an Extension Educator in the Central Sandhills in Thedford, Neb., from 1994-2004. He served as a part of Tom Osborne's Congressional office for Nebraska's 3rd District focusing on rural economic development from 2002-2004, and was a County Agent in the Kansas State University Co0perative Extension system in Gove County from 1989-1994.
