  • The nature of my research to date has primarily focused on understanding the relationship between forage quality and ruminal fermentation in lactating dairy cattle. Over the past seven years I have studied manipulations on forage particle size and evaluated these effects on feed efficiency, milk production, composition and rumen fermentation. In these investigations, I have employed fundamental principles and techniques used in the study of rumen fermentation. The primary objective of my research is to extend the current understanding of forage quality and the effect on rumen fermentation and milk production.
