The University of Nebraska-Lincoln equestrian team opened its season with a pair of home western shows on October 12th.

The team earned the high point team award at both the morning and afternoon performances and Samantha Pinney was named high point individual rider as well for both shows.

Izzy Velinsky and Emily Jonas also both qualified for 2025 regional championships with their performances.

The equestrian hunt seat team will travel to Fort Lupton, Colo., on October 26-27 to open its season, while the western team will travel to Fort Collins, Colo., on November 2-3 for its next competition.
