Welcome to Nebraska Beef 706
Nebraska Beef 706 is a 3 day course that explores the Quality, Consistency, and Value differences in beef. These objectives are accomplished by providing in-depth training on quality and consistency issues in the beef industry; providing insight on value differences in beef cattle, beef carcasses and beef primals due to quality variation in beef products; and providing a framework whereby participants in all phases of beef cattle production can implement management and production changes to increase value through improvements in quality and consistency. The course is centered around two sets of market cattle. Seven cattle are slaughtered before the workshop and processed by participants during the workshop. Four market cattle are evaluated live during the workshop and the carcasses are viewed and graded at the end of the workshop.
